Planes, Trains, and Automobiles ….
We had a great train ride to Perm from Russia – we left yesterday afternoon and arrived this afternoon. We rode 3rd class – which is platz meaning they are open compartments. It was such a great experience because our group was all spread out through out the car, giving us all a chance to meet lots of new people and get to really work on our Russian. Good thing for the Russian Phrase Book. It was lots of fun. It was nice to have our hosts at the train station ready to pick us up and help us carry our huge amount of luggage to our transport vehicles. We are here – ready to go. We will try to keep up the blog as best we can but our internet will be a little more sparse now that we are “on the road”.
Apparently Krista’s bag was located by Luftsthansa and they will fly it here to Perm. Hopefully we can get it tomorrow.
