Hello Family & Friends,

Hope you are enjoying family & friends this Christmas season.
Here is a quick update…
First, a couple of comments from our ministry partners in Russia:

Andy Frecka, Director of YWAM Russia, says,” YWAM Hockey’s ministry in Russia has upheld not only an outstanding standard of excellence, but also a Godly example of love & concern for the young men & women on the outreach teams. I have been privileged to witness how God uses Glen & Lorrain and their love of hockey to bring change both to their young recruits and also our nation.”

Pastor Sergey of Nizhny Tagil, Russia says, ”Glen and YWAM Hockey showed me that God, faith and sports can work together. Today we have soccer & hockey tournaments for children. But everything began when YWAM Hockey first arrived to the city of Nizhny Tagil. You became a friend of mine, our church and the people of my city…your ministry is like a small seed which grows and bears a lot of fruit.”

I (Glen) am preparing to go to Russia January 11 to February 7 to do hockey camps in the Kazan area and Nizhny Tagil, both of which we have developed relationships with local pastors who are working in the hockey communities. Then I will go to a new area in northern Russia that is only accessible by an ice road on the Ob River. One city, Salekhard, is the only city in the Polar Circle. YWAM Russia has been working with the churches along this ice road and invited YWAM Hockey to bring our hockey program to help connect the hockey communities with the local church.
I am already recruiting a hockey team for an outreach to these areas next year.

Lorrain is happy to be a newly qualified teacher and we are excited to see how God will merge teaching and hockey.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
If you can please drop us a note, we’d love to hear from you.
Merry Christmas!

Glen & Lorrain Bueckert-YWAM Hockey
