SHANE DOAN: MAN OF INTEGRITY

Most Canadians have been following this weeks political debacle regarding Team Canada's captain, Shane Doan. Other than a few politicians in Ottawa who are trying to make some cheap political points, everyone else across Canada have been very passionate about the waste of time and taxpayers money on this issue.
It was enough to make my blood boil.
It would be one thing if the allegations were proven correct, but Shane was cleared of ALL wrongdoing almost 2 years ago. He was proven innocent after a NHL investigation.
I am happy that Bob Nicholson and Hockey Canada have unconditionally supported Shane as a person, player and captain of the team.
More than all of the reaction to this firestorm, I want to comment about Shane Doan the man.
Have you noticed the comments of his teammates, coaches, even his opponents? To a person, each of them have commented on Shane's character and integrity. In the same sentence they all acknowledge the fact that he is a Christian and they make this the connection to his integrity.
Here is a guy who made his stand for Christ early in his life and he has lived & played hockey under a microscope all these years. As we all know, when we claim that we are a follower of Christ, high standards are expected and the bar is raised. Shane has lived this way for many years, and judging by the comments of his peers, he has been a great example to us all of "salt & light".

I agree!
Funny to see Shane in hockey gear and not at Circle Square doing flips on the trampoline???
LOL!
